Ease of Use:  

PHP Live works well, but the design is not as polished as those on higher–ranked live chat services. The design is also unique because PHP Live is a web–based service. Though the service works well, we noticed occasional delays.

Setup Ease:  

Setup is web-based, so familiarity with website functions and programming is helpful.

Multi-Tasking Ease:  

Multiple chats in PHP are simple to start, but not as easy to maintain. To deliver services to your customers while chatting (such as sending a file) your operator will have to navigate away from the live chat window. This takes extra time.

Monitoring Capabilities:  

PHP offers a strong monitoring package for a basic live chat service. This package includes all the tracking and monitoring features we review except for the "Who Is" browser lookup tool. The features are not as simple to use or easy to find. Also, because the program is web–based, you don't have as many options.

Feature Set:  

This live chat service was short on features, but they do offer an online/offline message system and the ability to force webpages. The addition of popular marketing and safety features would make the package more attractive.

You have a choice between a single operator or unlimited operators.

Help/Support:  

PHP Live offers email, toll–free telephone and live chat support. You have several options to reach customer service. We thought their support team was fine; they answered questions quickly.

Scalability:  

PHPLive will expand as your company’s needs expand. You’ll have no chat operator limits-add as many operators as your company needs.

PHP Live is a good program with a fair feature set for a reasonable price. For a mobile operation with one or many chat operators, PHP Live works well.
